XIOS 2024

We spent the summer in Volissos, introducing Iris and Atlas to the magical village where we fell in love and Kaity spent every summer growing up.

Wandering the streets, we found pops of color around every corner.

Time slowed down at rocky beaches and quiet harbors.

Atlas created special memories with Pappou.

We drove up and down mountainsides to explore nearby villages.

We played, ate, and drank together.

Every day offered a new perspective.

We enjoyed time with our Greek family, talking, laughing, and reconnecting.

A day trip to the southern part of the island led us to the Mastiha Museum, the “painted village” of Pyrgi, and a black-pebbled beach.

We discovered our favorite spots.

And visited them time and time again.

Iris, the self-proclaimed “princess of Volissos,” hiked to the top of the village castle with her treasure map in hand.

We visited the church of Aghia Markella, patron saint of Xios.

Goodbye, Volissos! We love you!
